IN-HOUSE paused programming during 2018 to reflect on the first two iterations of our residency, and how we want to improve and alter programming moving forward. We were also quite busy during the summer of 2018 with international travels, attending and helping to throw weddings for dear friends, and participating in artist residencies ourselves.
Please check back in early 2019 for more information on next summer's residency program and how to apply!
IN-HOUSE is open to emerging artists of any discipline, who do not and have not lived in Portland, Oregon. We particularly seek applications from individuals who also create/direct/work with artist-run spaces, presses, residencies, platforms, projects etc. This is not a requisite to apply, but applications from such individuals will be given priority.
IN-HOUSE is committed to inclusion, and encourages applications from people of every nationality, gender identity, race, religion, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, and ability. Unfortunately, our current space is not ADA accessible, and we hope this will change in the future.
There are no residency fees, and there is no fee to apply.
We request that you donate one artwork to the IN-HOUSE Permanent Collection upon your departure.
2017 Residency dates: June 1 - July 10
Application deadline: February 28, 2017
Please note: Due to the nature and scope of our modest program, we are only able to offer a residency to one artist per year, for the full duration of the residency period.
To be considered please send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 28, 2017.
1. Brief letter of interest
3. Digital portfolio or links to website with recent work
Applications will be reviewed by IN-HOUSE administrators and decisions will be sent to applicants by March 10, 2017.
